Legal Counsel / Senior Associate / Personal Injury Team / BFP Law Firm

Graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Cracow Academy in 2012. Passed the national legal counsel trainee examination in the same year. In the years 2013 – 2015 successfully completed the legal counsel apprenticeship in the District Chamber of Legal Counsels in Kraków. In 2016 passed the national legal counsel examination [bar exam].

I come from a family of doctors. My sister is a doctor, my aunt and uncle are doctors, both of my grandparents are doctors. If that was not enough, my other sister married a doctor…

Unfortunately, that exact career path never truly appealed to me; I have always wanted to become a lawyer. As it turns out though, marrying the two worlds is not only possible, but also fairly simple. Specializing as a personal injury lawyer was a clear-cut choice for me.

I joined the BFP Law Firm in 2011, shortly before my graduation. The Personal Injury Team of the Firm was already well known at the time. Looking back, it is apparent to me how immensely the Firm helped me to improve as a personal injury lawyer. It should not come as a surprise that after obtaining my degree in law, my understanding of the medical arts was lackluster at best. This is a huge issue for a personal injury lawyer, which is something I realized very quickly after joining the Personal Injury Team at BFP. Fortunately I was almost instantly provided with the opportunity to work on a multitude of different personal injury cases. It took quite a bit of studying of strictly medical publications at first, but with the help that I received from my experienced colleagues, I can now gladly say that my understanding has greatly improved, allowing me to work on all kinds of personal injury cases, and even specializing in some (such as medical negligence during childbirth).

For me another great aspect of joining the Personal Injury Team at the BFP Law Firm are the cross-border cases. Such cases are often complicated, and I find it important to face challenges in my work. Due to my involvement in these cases I also had the opportunity to attend several international conferences hosted by PEOPIL, an organisation that aims to connect European personal injury lawyers and enhance their knowledge of legal and judicial systems of European jurisdictions. Moreover, I also had the privilege to present on one of such conferences, which was a valuable experience. Not to mention that working on cross-border cases prevents my English from getting rusty.

In my free time I am an avid fan of football, most things electronic, and cats.
